Focus Study Timer — last updated 7 August 2026
Focus Study Timer (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed by Numan Raza. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, where it goes, and how you can remove it.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, display name, Google account identifier, and profile picture URL. Signing in is required to use the Study Assistant chat and to generate study units; the timer, focus audio and statistics all work without an account. We never see or store your Google password.
Content you create. When signed in, the following is stored so it is available across your devices:
Documents and photographs.
Automatically collected information.
Stored only on your device. The following never leaves your phone: your timer settings, your focus session history and statistics, any custom audio files you add, and locally cached copies of your chats and study units.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising profiling based on your study content. Data is processed by the following providers:
| Provider | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Analytics) |
Account details, your chats and study units, usage counters, analytics events | Sign-in, storage, syncing, and running the app’s backend |
| Anthropic (Claude) | The text of your messages and documents; scanned PDFs where no text could be extracted | Generating chat replies and study units |
| Moonshot AI (Kimi) | The text of your messages and documents | Generating chat replies |
| Google AdMob | Advertising ID, ad interaction data | Serving the optional rewarded ads |
Your conversations and documents are sent to the AI provider you have selected purely to produce a response for you. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chats or in documents you upload. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Our providers operate servers internationally, including in the United States. By using the app you understand your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
Profile → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, all
chats, all study units, and all usage records from our servers, and signs you out.
It cannot be undone. Full instructions, including what to do if you have already
uninstalled the app, are on the
account deletion page. You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below. We will action verified requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS. Access to your stored data is restricted by authentication rules so that only your signed-in account can read or write it. The credentials used to contact AI providers are held on our server and are never included in the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
